Health Literacy Champions: How Nebraska’s Health Departments Are Closing the Equity Gap
Discover how the Nebraska Association of Local Health Directors (NALHD) partnered with IHA to strengthen communication, community engagement, and organizational practices across the state’s health departments. With support from a U.S. Office of Minority Health grant, NALHD made IHA’s Health Literacy Specialist Certificate Program accessible to local health departments—arming public health leaders with tools to reduce health disparities, improve culturally competent care, and build lasting community trust.
