About The Program

IHA’s HLSCP consists of seven individual, stackable courses covering key areas of health literacy. It’s delivered through an online Learning Management System (LMS), allowing self-paced learning. After passing the exam for all seven courses, you’ll earn a digital badge, a Health Literacy Specialist Certificate, and up to 49 continuing education credits (CECs)

IHA’s HLSCP content was developed by a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) with specialized knowledge in the field to build knowledge and skills to master evidence-based health literacy. Qualified and trained SMEs also participated in standard-setting to establish the passing score.

The full certificate is organized into seven focused courses, yet each is available to complete individually to develop specific skill sets. Start with the area that matters most —or complete all seven to earn your Health Literacy Specialist Certificate.
